Fwd: [Info@uncaccoalition] BridgeGap project: expression of interest

Hello Alina, Here is the latest from the UNCAC Coalition. The date for CoSP 2025 has not been set yet. I will keep track and flag it. A potential avenue for our team's involvement with the Coalition might be joining the relevant thematic working groups https://uncaccoalition.org/get-involved/working-groups/ <https://uncaccoalition.org/get-involved/working-groups/> where the partners could present and discuss their work and results. I will share this with the partners. Additionally, I will contact the Regional Coordinator for Europe @Ana Revuelta Alonso <ana.revuelta@uncaccoalition.org> regarding BG's involvement with the Coalition's work. Regarding the "Outreach Kit" <https://lisboncouncil.sharepoint.com/sites/BRIDGEGAP/Shared%20Documents/Form...> that you have brought up earlier - it is created and for now includes a draft letter and the project brochure. I will reference the brochure in the letter once it is uploaded on the project website, as it is, probably, too bulky to use as an attachment. Unfortunately, the CoSP 10 thematic communities are no longer active - they were used specifically around the last CoSP - last year, but we do have a number of thematic working groups that may be of interest to your organization: https://uncaccoalition.org/get-involved/working-groups/ <https://uncaccoalition.org/get-involved/working-groups/> I am copying our Regional Coordinator for Europe @Ana Revuelta Alonso <ana.revuelta@uncaccoalition.org>, who should also be able to give you more information regarding potential avenues for involvement with the Coalition's work. The next CoSP will be held in 2025 (no firm date at present), however I encourage you to sign up for our newsletter, where we would announce the creation of any new thematic communities: / https://uncaccoalition.org/newsletter/ Best wishes, Arjun On Tue, 24 Sept 2024 at 10:36, Malikova, Evgenia < evgenia.malikova@lisboncouncil.net> wrote:
Dear UNCAC Coalition Team,
I am working with the Lisbon Council (https://lisboncouncil.net/), a Brussels-based think tank engaged in multiple projects addressing corruption and currently involved in the implementation of the BridgeGap project.
BridgeGap (https://corruptiondata.eu/) is a Horizon four-year multidisciplinary research project aimed at bridging the gaps in evidence, regulation and impact of anti-corruption policies. More specifically, its goals are to fill the knowledge gaps about the extent and mechanisms of corruption infiltration in open societies and across borders; to assess and offer solutions to the digital transparency gaps; and, to assess public accountability and anticorruption regulation across the EU member states, and candidate states, to identify regulatory and impact gaps, thus addressing the academia – policy gap in corruption studies.
I am writing to ask whether the thematic communities created before CoSP10 plenary discussion are still active and whether I could sign up for the Civic Spaces community. My colleagues from the BridgeGap representing 15 partner organisations, mostly academic, from all over Europe, might be interested in other themes.
Another question is about the next CoSP plenary discussion. When is it anticipated, and shall I and others wait till a new thematic mailing list communities will be created? The project's team constitutes an impressive knowledge base and capacity that might contribute to achieving the Coalition's goals. Our cutting edge research, findings and recommendations might be of interest and value to the Coalition's discussions.
Best regards, Evgenia
